For many years, the Czech Republic has been one of the destinations sought after and visited by patients wishing to undergo plastic surgery procedures. In 2008, the Czech Republic was placed among the top 10 world destinations popular for medical tourism on the forbes list. Czech private hospitals report that of the total number of treated patients, 20 to 25% are foreigners. Most often they are Germans, Austrians, Brits, and Slovaks. Moreover, in recent years, the number of clients from italy and arabic countries has significantly increased.
